HOW SET AND PREPARED ARE YOU? “POWER OF PLANNING”

Planning is winning. Just as breathing is living that is how vital planning is to any man’s life and any business endeavours.

Purpose is dead without a plan. It is planning that empowers purpose to deliver. Purpose is impotent without a plan. Every building begins with a plan, you don’t need a plan for a shannty but you do need a plan for any building of any value.

I have seen people talked about we have built these businesses. Business is a form of building, and that is why, just like ebery building requires a plan, every business requires a plan.
That is what is call “Business Plan” recently, I postulated a theory which stipulates, “You don’t grow BIG to manage well; You manage well to grow BIG”.

So the business that will be big tomorrow will be seen today in the quality of the structural plan that is engaged, it’s not tomorrow you would know it. It’s today that you will know it.
Most businesses today are victim of lack of planning or poor planning.
My two businesses dead as a results of poor planning in my early stage of entrepreneurship.

” If you are not futuristic in your approach, you can’t earn a future”, I am not just talking about planning, I am talking about futuristic planning.
My heart breed when I see how most people live their lives like animals, anything that comes goes, perheps is the will of God, of course God can not wish less for you, it is your lack of adequate preparation or planning that allows that to happen.

It is good management planning therefore that guarantees good results. Whatever farm that is not well managed is bound to fail, the quality of the seed not withstanding, it is the quality of the management that determines the quality of results.
Therefore, management skillis key to determing the level of results that any organization will ever command.

Planning is the cheapest way to advert wastage. So energy can be wasted, time can be wasted, of course most of us today have wasted a lot of time and many are wasting time without knowing. Any time wasted, not well managed can not be redeemed. Anything can be wasted when there is no plan.
So planning is a way of conserving energy. Just like you are aware life not well managed is wasted, time not well managed will be trashed, money not well managed will be squandered. So from purpose you move into planning, from planning. You section your plans into time slots and then set, go the pursuit and planning circle.

Purpose, Planning, Programme, Pursuit and Planning without programming is living in the woods, lost in the wilderness and programming without pursuit is dinning with the dead.

Prayers alone, I think will make you a burden to God. It is prayer with proper planning that makes you a co – labourer with God.
“Life us in Phases; Men are in Sizes” David O. Oyedepo.
Only those that sit down to plan today will SHINE tomorrow, where there is no planning, Purpose is bound to be defeated.
I hope, you will take note of these things and not joust have them as one of those things that come by.

To be a planner is to be a visionary. The power of vision, looking into the future.
To have a blissful living, a life of merriment and achievements, then you must be a better planner.
Achievements are never made without hardworks and self discipline.
An athlete who wants to win medals must subject his or her self to vigorous training, denying himself or herself some particular diets and feeding on special ones that will assist him or her to win.

A hunter who wants to kill many wild animals must truly learn how to be a masksman and to be braved.
A farmer who wants many bags of food stuff from his produce must really farm very well.
Same applicable to other fields of endeacours.

If you must succeed in life, then you must be spiritually, mentaly, academically, financially sensitive and alert. Your alertness about the things around you is very important for you to end well.
Money does not make any man rich, except financial knowledge. Knowledge is power they say, except it is put to use, if not it becomes wasted kbowledge.

Total commitment to your plans brings about fulfilments of goals.
As at the time of planning, it looks discouraging because that is the catapillar stage that requires hardwork and full engagement, it requires your time, it requires your energy,it requires your resources, all these and many more must be put in place for you to be a star.

The time of flowering is a sign of bearing fruits and it us a time of expectation full of happiness and enjoyments.
The time you spend, the resources you spend, energy burned, talents and knowledge applied are never in vain, they are investments that is expected to yeild bumper harvest at the appointed time.

God’s words says in Habakkuk 2:1-3 “I will stand upon my watch and set me upon the tower, and I will watch to see what he will say unto me,and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the Lord answered me, and said wite the vision and make it plain upon the tables, that he may run that readth it. For the visuon is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie; though it tarry, wait for it, because it will surely come; it will not tarry.

The power of vision is very crucial in a man’s life. Planning brings about the fulfilment of vision, but without vision there can never be planning. Therefore it is expected for anyone who wants to be successful in the business world to give much attention to learning from those who are already ahead of him or her in any area of professionalism.

A man of vision, is that man with an unshakable focus, unshakable faith, unshajable determination, he is ever excited in whatever he or she does.
While others are seeing failure, disappointment, he keeps moving navigating althrough the huldles because he sees clearly with the power of vision and adequate planning.

WHO IS AN ENTREPRENEUR?

“An entrepreneur is someone who prefers a life of boundless uncertainty to that of predictability and chooses to bet on themselves before anyone.

“An entrepreneur is someone who has made a conscious decision to choose freedom. This freedom doesn’t come easy because being an entrepreneur isn’t easy, but it will change your life in every way. Many of us spend years of our lives building someone else’s dream and following someone else’s rules. As entrepreneurs, we get to choose to work on the things that light us up, that motivate us, and that make a big impact for those around us. As entrepreneurs, we get to spend time with our family when we choose to, go on vacation when we choose to and surround ourselves with the people you choose to.

“An entrepreneur is a person who seeks to make a change – either to an industry, or the world. They’re willing to take on financial risk, always choosing growth over profit, and are optimistic to a fault. There’s never been a lower barrier to entry – you don’t need a Computer Science degree to launch a web-based product or service. So to be a successful entrepreneur today boils down almost entirely to execution and perseverance.“

“An entrepreneur takes on the risk and seeks to fill a need on her own terms. An entrepreneur doesn’t just ‘organize’ a business in my mind, but fuels it, directs it, and creates it. I hesitated to call myself an entrepreneur for a long time because I thought you had to have a Harvard MBA. I was so wrong. Entrepreneurs are scrappy and disruptive, creative and unruly, strategic and unstoppable. Sometimes they make lousy students and difficult employees.”

“An entrepreneur is someone that can sustainably serve an audience because they have a profitable business model.”

Aside from the recurring themes of risk, value creation, and rebellion, the answers I got varied from person to person, from business to business.

The definition of entrepreneurship seems to have evolved, and it’s likely the result of two things:

Thanks to technology, the barriers to entry have never been lower to start as an entrepreneur.
There are more paths now to starting a business than ever before.

How Technology Has Changed Entrepreneurship

A survey of Inc.com readers in 2015 revealed that the biggest barriers would-be entrepreneurs perceive are:

“I don’t think I can raise enough money.” (48%)
“I don’t have an idea.” (40%)
“I’m discouraged by the high failure rate of businesses.” (22%)
“I don’t have the right skills.” (21%)
“I worry about balancing business and family life.” (18%)
“I’m worried about taxes and regulations.” (17%)
“The competitive barriers are too high.” (13%)
“I don’t think I could hire people with the skills I need.” (7%)

But a lot of these are what I’d call “legacy fears” surrounding entrepreneurship—outdated misgivings that have yet to catch up with the technology and platforms that enable us to start things and put plans into motion in ways that weren’t possible before.

A Timeline of Tech Enabling Entrepreneurship

In the last 20 years, we’ve seen the emergence of new software, tools and platforms addressing the fears and pain points associated with starting and running a business. And that’s excluding all the other opportunities afforded by social networks and search engines.

How technology has enabled entrepreneurs:

* Quickbooks made accounting more accessible for small businesses.
* Alibaba made finding a supplier easier for products you could sell.
* MailChimp made email marketing easier and more affordable.
* Shopify made it easier to start and run a business selling anything online without knowing how to code.
* Dropbox enabled file sharing for better, more secure collaboration.
* Kickstarter made crowdfunding your ideas a mainstream concept, reducing the financial barrier for execution.
* Buffer streamlined the way you schedule social media content across multiple profiles.
* Fiverr offered a marketplace for finding affordable talent and human resources.
* Zapier made integrating technology possible without a developer in order to automate workflows.
* Canva made it possible for anyone to design the visual assets they need for a variety of circumstances.
* Kit built a “virtual employee” to take on some of the burden of running a business.

These companies—these entrepreneurs enabling entrepreneurship, of which I’ve only highlighted a handful—have created a world where a business no longer needs to be tied to a particular building, where many of them start and are run from home, on a laptop, in a coffee shop, through a mobile phone, with “employees” around the world.

* How People Become Entrepreneurs Today

Considering that “part-time entrepreneurship” is now more common than it once was, it’s no longer necessary for you to quit your job to start building something on the side.

Many Shopify store owners run their businesses part-time, during evenings or on the weekend, eventually going full-time if they choose to. Some have a physical location for their store and others operate entirely online.

Businesses can now exist in a variety of forms that just weren’t possible before. So naturally, people are starting them for a variety of reasons.

You can…

* Build a business around selling products and proving value.

Many entrepreneurs identify an opportunity and then capitalize on it. If there’s demand, they become the one with the supply. Being passionate about the product helps but it’s by no means a prerequisite.

All you need is to be passionate about business, competition, and creating systems that create value, either as a side business or something that replaces your 9 to 5.

Example: Veestro

Build a business around information and empowerment.

The “infopreneur” is typically a teacher who sells information via courses, templates and other resources usually geared towards educating and empowering their audience.

Example: Copyblogger

Build an audience and then build a business around it.

Once, the only way for an artist to survive was to have their work sponsored by a wealthy patron.

Today, creators—writers, bloggers, musicians—build audiences around their talents and cleverly create businesses around them with merchandise, book sales etc. The “patron” is now their audience.

We don’t often look at them that way, but books are physical products and music downloads can be a digital product. If you’re selling these, you’re running a business.

Example: Wait But Why

Build a business around your craft.

The maker applies a specific craft they’ve honed in order to create physical products. Usually a hobby or a past time, they’ve learned how to unearth niche audiences with an interest in owning what they create—whether necklaces, hand-crafted furniture.

This often starts out as a hobby before you find your first customers and decide to become an entrepreneur.

Example: JM&Sons

Build a business around providing services.

This group includes agencies, consultants, freelancers and people with skills or expertise that others need. They might start off alone, only able to make money when they work, but they can develop into more if they want.

Example: Shopify Partners

Build a business around a better way of doing things.

There’s always room for improvement. There are always needs and pain points that have yet to be satisfied.

This is the story behind many tech company founders trying to realize their vision of a better way.

It can also be built around a product or service that you want that simply doesn’t exist. Not yet anyway.

Example: Uber

Build a business around social responsibility.

Some entrepreneurs use business as a means of creating a sustainable living that improves the quality of lives through social enterprise. Outside of profit, the value they seek to create is for those in need.

Example: LSTN

These are only some of the intrinsic motivations that lead people down the path of entrepreneurship. It might even be some combination of reasons that inspires you to start a business.

The reasons might be unique to each person, but there are two qualities all entrepreneurs share.

Two Things All Entrepreneurs Have In Common

The word “entrepreneur” comes from the French word, entreprendre: to undertake.

And despite how entrepreneurship has changed over the years, that part is still very much in tact.

However you or anyone else chooses to define what it means to be an entrepreneur, it almost goes without saying that an entrepreneur can’t become one if he or she has to wait for that validation.

Because there are at least two things every entrepreneur has in common for sure:

1. They have ambition.
2. They start.

WHAT IS STOPPING YOU? Part One.

ALways believe in yourself even when others don’t. Our greatest weakness lies in giving upon ourselves so easily that is what society taught us, not to believe in ourselves, the is “if you don’t believe in yourself, who else will believe in you?” So you heve to first believe in you.

When life puts you in tough situations, don’t say “why me? Instead say ” TRY ME!”

No one can make you feel inferior without your consent. We only regret the chances we fail to take at the end when we last had it. Life is like riding a bicycle, to keep your balance; you must keep moving, keep paddling the penders even if you are climbing the hill. Life is so much brighter when we focus on what truly matters.
Pay no attention to those who talk behind your back, it only means you are two steps ahead of them.

Be grateful to the difficult people around you, because they only show you exactly who you don’t want to be or the stuff you are made of. They force you to take that bold step you are afraid of taking.

Life is not all about the happy ending, but also it’s about the interesting story. Life goes on whether you choose to move on and take a chance in the unknown, or stay behind, locked in the past thinking of what could have been.

Sometime, around 1995 when I was in the technical college, I often say, the world is moving at an unimaginable speed and whoever that refuse to move along will be left behind, baxk then non of us has ever heard or knew something called internet will ever be in place. Today with your smarphone in your hands the entire world is in your palms as a result innovation in technology.

Never give up especially in the beginning because it’s always the hardest of the journey. Spending the whole of today complaining about yesterday wouldn’t make tomorrow any better. Anytime I look back on my life, I realise that everytime I thought I was being Rejected from something good. I was Actually Being Re-directed to something Better. Endeavour to enjoy every moments of your life, learn to energise yourself in any situation you find yourself, because they don’t and will not last forever.

Life is like the Ocean, it can be calm or still, and rough or rigid, but in the end it is always beautiful.

There are twenty – six english alphabets, therefore I choose to encourage myself whenever plan A failed. I stay encouraged because there are other twenty – five alphabets to work with, this is the simply reason I have never be discouraged in my journey of life.

I have be through many challenges in life, but I learnt to keep my head always above the water.
Unless you faint or die, endeavour to keep going. Life is a way too short to spend another day at war with yourself.
Today, you are YOU, that is truer tgan true. There is no one alive who is youer than YOU. You were given tgis life because you are capable and strong enough to live it. Therefore rise up and live this life to the fullness.

You only found happiness both within and outside when you stop comparing yourself to other people.
Don’t try to change in other for people to start liking yoy. Be yourself and the right people will eventually fall in love with you, be real.

Everyday may not be good, but the truth is there is something good in everyday. There is a second chance in everyday. The struggle you are in today is only developing the strength you need for tomorrow. Hardship often prepare ordinary people for an extra-ordinary Destiny.

Reba McEntire once said “for you to thrive in life you need three BONES”
*A WISHBONE
*A BACKBONE
*A FUNNYBONE

Imagination is more important than knowledge. You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great. Motivation is what gets you started, while you will keep going by yoir habit.
You can close your eyes to the things you don’t want to see, but you can’t close your heart to the things you don’t want to feel. If it doesn’t challenge you, it can never and will never change you.

So stop wishing and start doing. ACTION!!! A good head and a good heart are always a formidsble combination.

Stars can’t shine without darkness, your beauty, talent and potentials are revealed through challenges or difficult situations.
You have got what it takes, but it will take everything you have got to manifest.

My seven lovely secrets that kept me moving are:
*I learn to make peace with my past, so it doesn’t spoil my present and future. Your present is the bridge between your past and your future, so when you allowed your past destroy the bridge the possibility of you going through will be very difficult.

*What others think of me is none of my budiness. I refused to be distracted no matter what.

*Time heals almost everything. Therefore give time sometime.

*No one is the reason of my happiness, except me, myself. Also no one can make me to be sad excep me myself.
There was a time in the organisation where I worked. The junior staff were promoted not on merits but rather on godfatherism and favourism. Most of us that were affected started feeling bad of themselves.
A very senior officer once asked me, “why are you not feeling bad about what has just happened, everyone knew what happened that it’s a complete cheat? I asked him, ” sir, what can you do to change the damage that has be done”? He said nothing, then why should I bother myself about what I have no power over?

*I never compare myself or life with others, because I have no ideas what their journey is all about. I once told my father that, “there is no competition in destiny” but you must remain focus and deterrmined about your destiny to forcefully get the delivering if your destiny.

*Stop thinking too much, it’s alright not to know all the answers to every difficulties of life.

*I smile always, I realise that the most five letter words that is often use and does not cost you anything but rather benefits you is called “SMILE”

NEVER STOP BELIEVING IN YOURSELF

Constant learning is the secret key to a successful living.
Warren Buffet, once said, “The more a man learn the more he earn”.
That’s so true; look at the successful people like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, Mark Cuban, Jeff Bezos presently the world richest CEO Amazon, Jack Ma the founder of Alibaba and any other highly successful human. They are successful because they use their time right.

They are successful because they are lifetime learners. They commit to learning new things every single day.
Warren Buffet one of the wealthiest human on the planet earth, is famous for reading more than five hours everyday. Not just reading breaking news that will not make an impart in his life but rather, he is committeded to readin endifing, inspirational, motivational, insightful and entreprenuerer materials. Bill Gates reads one book per week. Mark Cuban three hours a day.

Think about this, successful people never stop learning. You have 86,400 naira or dollar to spend every single day but when the day is over, the money disappears. You can’t get it back, my question is ” would you like to spend all the money before they disappear? Or rather use it wisely? Use it as BEST YOU COULD? The choice is yours. The sad part is we only have 86,400 seconds equally in a day and MOST PEOPLE take this time for granted. Most people let this time disappear without a second thought. We never get this time back.

We must use it wise, we must be productive and proactive, we must use our time to do the things we enjoy, or use it to SET UP OUR LIFE. So we can spend our future doing more things we want to do.
Instead of wasting your time on meaningless things, such as playing video games, partying around town, the other day I saw where full able body men wasting their precious and valuable time dragging within themselves playing draf, almost at the point of fighting themselves for nothing. Why not use this time in learning new innovative things? This is what separates the successful from the unsuccessful. Both are in the same society, same visinity, same establishments/organisations, yet some are more successful than some.
The secret is the usage of time, all you need is determination and total commitment.

Once you use that time IT’S GONE FOREVER. Use your time wisely, Read books, study hard and learn as much as you CAN. Most people give up on their dreams because it gets too hard. A lot if students stop chasing their dreams because of one failed test, as a matter of fact, most students even try their best when they take the test because in their minds, they had already failed the test.
They stop believing in themselves and once they belief the dream is killed, the dream is killed.

Recently, there is this post that was published on 29th day of October, 2017 of a 16 year old 100 level student of microbiology at the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife miss. Mercy Afolaranmi, who committed suicide over poor grade in her first semester, can you imagine that, a newbie who just gain admission into one of the most famous university in Nigeria, just because she got poor grade she killed herself, she fails to believe in herself. Instead of killing yourself, why not look inward and start believing in yourself and start working hard on your weak points.

IF YOU HAVE A DREAM YOU MUST DO EVERYTHING TO MAKE IT INTO REALITY.
It doesn’t matter how many times you fail a test.

NEVER STOP!BELIEVING IN YOURSELF. Life itself is a test sometimes you would fail, but the only way you can be a failure is if you STOP TRYING.
WHATEVER DREAM YOU HAVE USE ALL YOUR ENERGY TO MAKE IT INTO REALITY. PUSH YOURSELF TO BECOME THE PERSON YOU ARE DESTINED TO BECOME. If you want to get the RESULTS you have never got before, you are going to have to do things you have never done before! The richest man in the world , Bill Gates was once asked, “which superpower he would like to have?” The richest man in the world said that he would want the ability to read books faster.

Success is not about money, the fame or a big house, is about becoming the best VERSION OF YOURSELF. You will fall down many times on the road to success, the most important thing is that you GET BACK UP. GET BACK UP STRONG and be wiser than before. Create a mindset that does not allow you to quit or stop believing. If you quit on your dream and give up, you will never know how great you can be.

NEVER DOUBT YOURSELF. Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will. Work on yourself every single day. This is your life we are talking about. Nothing is more important than it.

Is it good when you have huge deposits in the bank, plenty of valuable possessions, abundance of anything of value? Nearly all, measured wealth is in monetary factors. We say that people are wealthy when we see their grand mansions, different cars, lots of jewelry, or expensive clothes.
